My Airasia Free Seats

If I had 10 AirAsia free seats, I would go to Vietnam and I would bring along a closest friend to form a team, together with other 4 pairs of random friends picked from my friends list to embark on a travel adventure and here is why!

With many low cost flying options available, now almost everybody can fly. When people visit to a new destination, with a little effort of research before flying most people will make sure they made their visit to those "place must see if you go to XXX" popular tourist destination. Sometimes rather just visiting to some monumental place and take tourist photos, it would be nice to do a little bit more to get more amazing experience out of the trip is nice. There are things like diving with the sharks in Australia and tower bungee jumping in Macao; or a little less extreme, take a cooking class in Thailand or hike the great wall in China. More idea can be found at 101 Things To Do Around The World

left: just an ordinary thing to do; right: awesome experience

I have made some of the experience in and out of the list. Take some example I have seen fish auction in Tsukiji fish market, attended Octoberfest, hiked the great wall and sipped coffee on top of it, finished a marathon  with a banana once and a coffee on other time, rode the bullet train and ate in a high tech sushi restaurant. I travelled to some corner of the world and unintentionally, I had some unique experience that can tell as interesting story. I have made a road trip with friends from Germany to Hungary without a proper map and had a funny hard time speaking sign language with the locals; stayed freezing cold in a train station at 3am; participated local festival event with no sign of tourists; camped in a jungle of Borneo and catch prawns in complete darkness at midnight for next day's breakfast.

There are still a lot of things in my own bucket list and one of it is to have a kind of travel experience that is competing with friends on a quest of completing a series of travel tasks on a trip

If I have a chance to make another travel story with free seats from Airasia, it would be Vietnam where 10 of us will form 5 teams, starts from Hanoi and ends at Ho Chi Minh city. We would need to complete tasks complete some of the activities like the follows:

-Visit the ethic tribal minorities at villages nestled in the lush hills near Sapa exchange gift with them.

-Take a private overnight cruise through Halong Bay on a restored junk, a traditional Chinese sailboat. And make a jump from boat into halong bay

- Learn to cook one Vietnamese dish

-Navigate the alleyways of the ancient port town of Hoi An by bicycle, to explore the Southeast Asia's most important port from the 17th through 19th centuries

-Cruise the waterways of the Mekong Delta to glimpse the timeless rural scenes of farmers working the fertile land and fishermen with their nets.

-Playing sand activity on Mui Ne's sand dune

-Drinks a snake wine

- Eat a half egg

-Get a traditional clothing

-Compete on timing to finish crawling the famous Cu Chi tunnel

-Price slashing in Ben Tahn market

It would be like an amazing race of our own and it would be an extraordinary travel experience to tell.

And be sure to check out Airasia for free seats or cheap air fares to embark your next adventure
