Like Doesn't Really Help
What do you do on Monday? For a lot of people, Monday is the most depressing day of the week.
So not surprisingly, a lot of people has this syndrome we called the monday blue...
Imagine this looking at you while you sleep in middle of the night
"Monday to Sunday=6 days;Sunday to Monday=1 day...WHY~~"
even the photocopier does not feels like working on Monday
In order to kill the blue, people do a kind of therapy called DUSABNP (do useless stuff and be not productive) like you tube, twitter, facebook, instagram and many more...
One of the thing the blue people do is be a like/share superhero and save the world... A like is different from the superlike, normally people will share a unfortunate picture for an example a picture of children in an earthquake disaster with a description asking you to like or share if you care.
Some even curse you if you don not share it like "ignore if you are a cruel person and want this baby to die"
Look if you are helping to find a missing person or pet we could understand. But hitting 'like or 'share' button is not gonna help. Is the earth quake victim gonna receive shelter and supplies if you hit share? Is do you really think "Bill Gates" will donate 10 million to whoever if those post reaches how many likes or shares? If he is gonna do it he will do it.
A powerful ad campaign for Crisis Relief Singapore, Called 'liking isn't helping' that uses the idea that Facebook 'likes' in themselves do not help people.
Guess what, the campaign won a Gold Lion at Cannes.
Clicking, while assuaging guilt, does not relieve the pain of people in those situations.

hello....
ReplyDeletei'm so agree with this entry... I'm still wondering why some still prefer to start that 'like this..' and for what? Well, maybe to bring awareness to the public.. but i cant understand those ' 1 like 1 respect' or '1 like 1 pray' - better just directly pray to God or whatever.
Thanks again for this entry....
1like1ringgit for me??
