in case anybody is interested what I have been up messing with… here is some summary of major events…

King of the lake...
25 May 2008...@ Singapore Lower Seletar reservoir

I managed to infiltrate join civil engineering club as became one of the committee who is supposed to in charge of IT and communication ( which I really sucks at). Instead of shoving myself to learn some proper IT skills and revolutionize our club’s website, I got myself into leading 2 teams of around 14 ppl from National Universities of Singapore to join the National Concrete Canoe Competition Singapore organized by Nanyang Technological University. Under my brilliant leadership and clever planning Because of team work, courage, assistance from Schools and many others, we have Sapu all the prizes    won overall Grand prize and first runner up, best design, best design report, best time in all racing category and many more except the crowd voting because all of NUS students are too busy studying than going to a remote reservoir at 6am in the morning and support us. Detail of the event shall be covered in other entry in future. some coverage on the event: http://kiatsans.blogspot.com/2008/05/singapore-national-concrete-canoe.html ; http://yzone.omy.sg/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=467&Itemid=56 ; http://chloe-viva.blogspot.com/2008/05/singapore-national-concrete-canoe.html . some idea of what is it all about: http://www.concretecanoe.org/Announcements/Announcements.htm .
Left: What I should had been doing. Right: What I did

oh ya and I went Taiwan with the portion of the prize i got ^^

Stucked in Europe in 150 days
March~August 2009

Everything happens for a good reason. And there is always a good side for everything which happened. Back then i had a chance to study at Australia and other non Asia country. But instead i chosen to study in Singapore, at National University of Stress Singapore because I believe one will be better trained at a stressful university in a stressful country. Does it mean my University life will end with only study study and study? Heck No!  thanks to the student exchange program, I managed to got myself exchanged to Germany and it begins my journey of stucked in Europe for 150 days.

Left: What ppl hope I had been doing. Right: What I did

Chosen Germany as my exchange country because I have no other choice... other English speaking University country had all been taken that time (Luckily, I managed to survived at there with only half year of German language class). But  Germany  is actually quite a good place for exchange... situated at central west of Europe continent, it was quite convenient for me to travel around. An overnight train could easily get me to France, ItalyNetherlands, Switzerland and cheap air ticket to England, Spain, and many other places was available. It actually made it easy for my friends and I to go on road trip to central  Europe.

Top of the world
2009~2010

Contradiction being a student and a working adult is a student has all the time to play but has no money to play with. Instead having the gut to ask from my dad money to go play (risk of being thrown to feed tigers....nah i kid, only crocodiles... not tigers ) . So when I was studying, I would participate in all kinds of competitions trying to earn some pocket money ( yes I am too lazy being a waiter). Those competitions gave me different experience. Of course not all of it went smashing victory, there were some which cost me a lot of time, and my academic result. But it gave me a lot of life experience, especially working with different level and kinds of ppl. However, one competition that would add something to my story is participation of a world class competition, Challenge: future, a global student innovation competition. Official website here: http://www.challengefuture.org/

It was a great experience to participate in that competition, it opened my mind to get a deeper glance of the global business and setting environment. And it gave me a sum of pocket money (my team got grand prize ^^) which is quite... nice I would say. Oh ya and i tour around Slovenia and Turkey with the price money ^^ (of course part of the prize money went to charity ^^).

After graduation...

Yep, I graduated from National University of stress, and worked in AECOM Singapore as a design engineer for a shortwhile, renting a small room, one person work with 3 person workload, gaining experience 3 times faster but salary still remain linear ==...a typical foreigner working in Singapore city life. because of my father's company HR restructuring and upon my father's request, I decided to move back early to Sarawak, land of Hornbill, crocodile and tree houses as per many others. I admit it was not the only future plan I got in my mind doing that, but I am quite surprised to hear that almost all of my family member were certain that I would never come home and help out in family business. Well, I am glad i could bring some surprise to their life~~...

Plan 1, move to land of technology, football, beer and cute Oktoberfest girl (i may regret not choosing this...Btw, nice necklace to the girl in front)

Plan 2, stay at little red dot, island which fines u if u spit like their national symbol
Plan 3, move to the land filled with man eating hornbill, 12 meter crocodiles and natives that can shoot down flying buffalo  using blow dart.( http://youtu.be/t0CEWa5Y_Pk . at 1:16 or press 3 ) and the ppl there lives on tree houses and ride crocodiles to work. ( as per many outsider's imagination...including Malaysians...which I hope Sarawak really is like that, life would be more interesting)

Lost and Found

After I moved back to magical land of Borneo having the though of I was fighting for something I treasured for 7 years, something happened. I never though of 7 years of relation is so fragile that it could not withstand seduction less than 7 month. I have lost 7 years of relationship, lost faith and lost myself. Suffered depression for half a year. Luckily heaven din put me to deeper pain and sent me someone on a special eve of a special day who changed my life. We somehow clicked on the first met and because of her, I was able to crawl out from the misery I was suffering. I lost something important, and found someone who would treasure me and I would treasure. I am very thankful for who, or whatever that made this happened.

Aftermath

So here I am , having summarized what I have been messing with these years...I believe everything happens for a good reason and it created the me here blogging, trying to impress, depress, entertain, bored,  tango bitter sweet everything about my life.
