Work Happens...: What basics you should at least achieve when going to an interview

In my earlier life as working adult, I went on many interviews. I went from being completely inexperience in impressing interviewer to now I am interviewing other people. It disturbs me that many generation Y freshman do not do their homework before coming to an interview. Is it really that hard to at least spend a few minute to GOOGLE the basics?
